Privacy Policy

How personal data is handled when you visit this website or contact MN Automate.

1. Who controls your data

The data controller for this website is Marco Nucci, operating as MN Automate. Questions about this policy or requests concerning personal data can be submitted through the contact page.

2. Data processed when you browse

When you access the website, the hosting infrastructure may process technical information needed to deliver and protect it. This can include your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, request time, referring page and diagnostic or security logs.

This information is processed to provide the website, maintain its security, diagnose faults and prevent abuse. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Technical logs are retained only for the period reasonably necessary for operations, security and the investigation of incidents, subject to the hosting provider's applicable retention schedules, and are then deleted or anonymised unless a longer period is required to establish or defend legal claims.

3. Contact form

If you use the contact form, MN Automate processes the name, email address, selected topic and message you provide, together with technical information generated during submission. The information is used to answer your request, manage the resulting correspondence and protect the form from spam or abuse.

Depending on the nature of your request, the legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, or the legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and maintaining business communications under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Providing fields marked as required is necessary to receive a response; if they are not provided, the form cannot be submitted.

The form is processed by Formspree, Inc. as a service provider. Formspree stores submissions and delivers them to MN Automate. Formspree states that it uses Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers made in its role as a data processor. For more information, see the Formspree privacy policy and security information.

Enquiries and related correspondence are kept for as long as needed to respond and manage any resulting relationship, and afterwards only as necessary for legal, accounting or dispute-resolution requirements. Messages that do not lead to an ongoing relationship are periodically deleted when they are no longer needed.

4. YouTube thumbnails and external content

Some catalog pages retrieve video thumbnail images from YouTube at i.ytimg.com. When your browser requests an image, Google may receive technical connection data such as your IP address, browser information and the referring website. No YouTube video player is embedded on MN Automate, and videos open on YouTube only when you choose a link. Google processes information under its own privacy policy.

The purpose of loading these images is to identify and present the educational video catalog. MN Automate relies on its legitimate interest in presenting that catalog clearly under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Google determines its own retention practices for data it processes as an independent provider, as described in its policy.

The website also links to external services such as YouTube, LinkedIn, GitHub, Udemy, SolisPLC and Amazon. Visiting those websites is your choice and their own privacy terms apply after you leave MN Automate.

5. Cookies and local storage

MN Automate does not currently use analytics, advertising pixels, profiling cookies or non-essential browser storage. The interactive filters and carousel keep their state only in memory while the page is open. A consent banner is therefore not displayed. If non-essential tracking is introduced, it will be blocked until any consent required by law has been obtained, and this policy will be updated.

6. Recipients and international transfers

Personal data may be accessible to hosting, infrastructure and form-processing providers only where necessary to deliver, secure and maintain the website or handle a request. It may also be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. MN Automate does not sell personal data.

MN Automate does not use personal data from this website for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers must rely on an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses or another safeguard recognised by Chapter V GDPR. The Formspree safeguards described above apply to contact-form processing.

7. Your rights

Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or data portability. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent in the future, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

To exercise these rights, use the contact form and clearly identify your request. Additional information may be requested when reasonably necessary to verify your identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali), or with the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live or work.

8. Security, children and policy changes

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal data. No internet transmission or storage system can, however, be guaranteed completely secure. The website is not directed specifically at children and the contact form should not be used to submit information about a child unless a parent or guardian considers it appropriate and necessary.

This policy may be updated when the website, its providers or applicable legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
